Short description:

The subject concerns basic biblical knowledge that affects the shape of Christian spirituality. Includes basics of the Old and New Testaments.

Full description:

1. The phenomenon of supernatural revelation.

2. Personifying spirituality in the Old Testament.

3. Inspiration and canon of the Old Testament in the context of spirituality.

4. The mentality of Old Testament people and literary genres.

5. Tools for working on the spirituality of the Old Testament.

6. The greatness of God in the Old Testament - the problem of the "image of God".

7. Relationship of God's image with the temple.

8. Historical elements of New Testament spirituality.

9. Directions of New Testament spirituality and its specificity.

10. The person of Jesus Christ and the spirituality of the New Testament.

11. A new image of God in Jesus Christ.

12. Jesus Christ in the face of sin and sinners.

13. New concepts in the spirituality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

14. Passion spirituality of Jesus Christ.

15. Christian spirituality according to St. Paul.

1. The student can correctly learn the text in the key to spirituality.

2. Has the skill of inter-testamentary analysis.

3. Interprets the text using known instruments and methods.

5. Has the ability to analyze individual passages - especially the New Testament in terms of spirituality.

5. Is able to apply the acquired information in work on non-biblical source texts.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Lecture, presentation, prepared material by students and discussion, individual work with text.

Very good (50) The student has mastered the material to a very good degree and shows interest exceeding the given material.

db (4.0) Has good knowledge is involved in group work.

dst (3.0). Has knowledge at the basic level.

ndst (2.0) Does not meet any of the criteria of learning outcomes.
