Short description:	The central goal of the course is to learn the history of the Biblical Hebrew and an introduction to the basic principles of Hebrew phonology, morphology, syntax and vocabulary.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:	Parse and translate verbal forms in the categories studied in class -Translate basic Hebrew sentences - Recognize vocabulary learned from the vocabulary handout - Read most prose passages of the Hebrew Bible with the aid of a lexicon.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	(in Polish) Warunkiem zaliczenia jest: - regularna obecność i aktywność na wykładach - utrwalenie materiału - testy z przerobionego materiału. Ocena końcowa ustalona zostanie na podstawie ustnego sprawdzianu umiejętności określania form gramatycznych i tłumaczenia wybranego tekstu biblijnego (dobranego przez prowadzącego zajęcia, proporcjonalnie do wiedzy zdobytej przez studentów).
