(in Polish) Il seminario è dedicato alla presentazione a studenti italiani e stranieri e studenti di filologia italiana di momenti cruciali della cultura polacca colti dalla prospettiva mondiale. Si svolgerà sul piano estetico dove la comunicazione tra le culture avviene nel modo più intenso e si riferirà ai concetti dell’immagine e del bello elaborati negli ultimi decenni. Si baserà sulle edizioni italiane di capolavori delle scienze umanistiche polacche pubblicate nella collana Biblioteca di Cultura Polacca come Cultura e vita di Stanisław Brzozowski, Intorno al bello di Władysław Stróżewski e Il cavaliere polacco e altri saggi di storia dell’arte e dell’iconologia di Jan Białostocki (Edizioni Mimesis, Milano). Tratterà problemi della comunicazione interculturale (concentrati intorno alle relazioni italo-polacche), della traduzione linguistica e culturale nonché della collaborazione tra le istituzioni culturali polacche e quelle italiane.

Brief description

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic issues of canon law considered in the context of sexual offences. The lecture will be based on current canon law (common and particular). Presented issues will be discussed from the perspective of the latest changes and amendments, in particular pertaining to sexual offences. The aim of the lectures is to provide students with knowledge of canon law, which will allow them to explain court cases involving sexual offences.

Brief description

Development of theTheology of Spirituality in relation to ecumenical theology. It covers historical aspects that point to the prospect of ecumenical unity on the level of spirituality. Therefore, it takes up the issue of not only interdenomination dialogue, but also the spiritual aspects that arise from the Gospel and may constitute a space for spiritual unity. It also concerns the possibility of using the tools of sanctifying means contained in the entire diversity of Christian denominations.

Brief description

The course is dedicated in particular to students of Italian Studies. Its fundamental goal is to retrace the main political, literary-cultural, economic and social turning points that have characterised the history of the Italian twentieth century, through the media narration. Hence the focus on the peculiarities of Italian journalism and, more generally, on the system of mass communication, including literary and cultural industry.

The course provides students with a basic but multi-faceted knowledge about historical and contemporary interpretations of the sublime. The notion of the sublime is presented in various aspects (relations with beauty, nature, catastrophes, politics, spirituality, Freudian uncanny) and in diversified, wide scope of works of art. The main goal of the lectures is to underline mutual relationship between the category of sublime nowadays and contemporary artistic practice.

Brief description

Animal behaviour is one of the biological disciplines that have been developing intensively over the last decade. Researchers focus on many issues including hunting, reproduction, or altruistic behaviour.

The aim of the course is:

1) to acquaint students with the complexities of animal behaviour

2) to explain how animal behaviour affect the ability of survival of the animals

3) to show the possibilities of using knowledge about animal behaviour in nature conservation

During the classes students will observe the behaviour of selected invertebrate species

Undoubtedly, the course on animal behaviour will inspire students to have a humanitarian approach to animals.
