To present students basic knowledge about the individual development (ontogeny) of man. The course of prenatal development and postnatal (after birth, in contact with the external environment) development, including processes of retardation and and aging (gerontology and auxology). These issues are dealt with on the background of wider environmental factors, including cultural change and civilization of mankind, and their impact on the living environment. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Knowledge: BI1_WO1 - Student understands phenomena and processes in auxology. BI1_WO4 - Student knows the main problems in different disciplines of auxology and knows their relations with other ones in natural sciences. BI1_W05 – Student possesses knowledge about basic terminology in auxology, knows current trends methodological applications in auxology. Skills: BI1_U02 – Student understands literature in Polish in auxology; reads and understands uncomplicated scientific texts in English BI1_U03 – Student is able to use existing sources of information, including electronic ones. BI1_U10 - Student is able to prepare presentation and present it orally, concerning detailed problems in auxology. BI1_U11 – Student is able to learn under supervision. Social competencies: BI1_K04 – Student correctly identifies and makes relevant decisions in relation to his/her profession BI1_K07 – Student shows a necessity of permanent actualization of his/her specific knowledge ECTS [1 ECTS=30 hours] Participation in tutorials: 30 hours Participation in lectures: 30 hours Preparation for discussion during tutorials: 30 hours Preparation for tutorials (PowerPoint presentations): 30 hours Preparation for exam: 30 hours Total: 150 hours ECTS: 150/30=5 |

Knowledge (BI1_W01, 04, 05) Grade 2 (fail): Student does not understand phenomena and processes in auxology, does not know the main problems in different disciplines of auxology, in basic terminology and methodological applications in auxology. Grade 3 (sufficient): Student understands in limited degree phenomena and processes in auxology, knows very little about main problems in different disciplines of auxology, in basic biologic terminology and methodological applications in auxology. Grade 4 (good): Student understands phenomena and processes in auxology, knows about main problems in different disciplines of auxology, basic terminology and methodological applications in auxology. Grade 5 (excellent): Student understands very well phenomena and processes in auxology, has excellent knowledge about main problems in different disciplines of auxology, basic biologic terminology and methodological applications in auxology. Skills (BI1_U02,03,10,11) Grade 2 (fail): Student does not understand literature in Polish in Auxology and simple scientific texts in English, is not able to: use available sources of information, prepare oral presentation, and learn under supervision Grade 3 (sufficient): Student understands in limited degree literature in Polish in auxology and simple scientific texts in English, is able in limited degree to: use available sources of information, prepare oral presentation, and learn under supervision Grade 4 (good): Student understands literature in Polish in auxology and simple scientific texts in English, is able to: use available sources of information, prepare oral presentation, and learn under supervision Grade 5 (excellent): Student very well understands literature in Polish in auxology and simple scientific texts in English, is able to: use available sources of information, prepare oral presentation, and learn under supervision Social competencies (BI1_K04,07) Grade 2 (fail): Student incorrectly identifies and makes relevant decisions in relation to his/her profession, and does not show a necessity of permanent actualization of knowledge in auxology. Grade 3 (sufficient): Student in limited degree identifies and makes relevant decisions in relation to his/her profession, and shows a small necessity of permanent actualization of knowledge in auxology. Grade 4 (good): Student is able to identify and make relevant decisions in relation to his/her profession, and shows a necessity of permanent actualization of knowledge in auxology. Grade 5 (excellent): Student is very well able to identify and make relevant decisions in relation to his/her profession, and shows a necessity of permanent actualization of knowledge in auxology. Lectures precede the tutorials from this course. Admission to the tutorials requires an examination on lectures Assessment by a certain number of scores from the following elements: 1. The presence during lectures (three absences are acceptable during a semester): 0-3 scores (100% presence – 3 scores; 1 absence – 2 scores; 2 absences – 1 score; 3 absences - 0 scores; Students may leave only 3 classes 2. Assessment of the PowerPoint presentation on a specific topic: 0-6 scores (substantive aspect: 0-4 scores; formal aspect: 0-2 scores) 3. Evaluation of students during active learning and group discussion: 0-3 scores Final assessment: 12-10 scores: 5 9-7 scores: 4 6-4 scores: 3 3 & >: 2 |
