Students will learn about definitions, theories and models of numinous constructs, and their association with intra- and interpersonal functioning |

Students will learn about definitions, theories and models of numinous constructs. They will learn about "Four B" Saroglou's theory, intrinsic/extrinsic/quest distinction of the forms of religiosity, Piedmont's spiritual transcendence theory and other models important in the field. Association between numinus constructs, well-being, resilience, fullfillment of basic motives and other aspects of intrapersonal functioning will be discussed in the light of contemporary studies and theories. Role of numinus constructs in interpersonal functioning (its associations with prosocial and agressive behaviors, stereotypes and prejudices, social dillemas) would be described in details, with the emphasis on most recent development in the field. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
The student has knowledge of the basic theories in the field of psychology of religion and spirituality. He knows the key research in the area of relationship of numinous construct with intra- and interpersonal functioning. The student is able to analyze the current information and phenomena related to the functioning in the religious sphere and interpret them in relation to psychological knowledge. The student demonstrates an attitude of tolerance and respect towards people with a different religious worldview. |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Test exam Students answer 20 test questions, scoring 1 point for each correct answer. The received rating depends on the number of points obtained: up to 10: 2.0 11-12: 3.0 13-14: 3.5 15-16: 4.0 17-18: 4.5 19-20: 5.0 |
