Skrócony opis:

The objective ot the course is to present a theory of anthropological studies in reference to anthropologial interpretation, grounded in an inquiry as essential to learning. Through close reading of academic texts, students are given authority as learners to undertake serious intellectual projects to emphasize critical and creative thinking.

The objective ot the course is to present a theory of anthropological studies in reference to anthropologial interpretation, grounded in an inquiry as essential to learning. Through close reading of academic texts, students are given authority as learners to undertake serious intellectual projects to emphasize critical and creative thinking.

The course also includes an introduction to anthropological thinking, presentation of the most important terms and core ideas of culture studies in its diachronic and synchronic perspective. The course will show cross-references of European and American tradition of cultural research.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Student has an ordered and basic knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies (H1A_W01) : (KU1_W01).

Student presents knowledge of research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences (H1A_W01) : (KU1_W02).

Student has got an ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions (H1A_W10): (KU1_W15)

Student applies a variety of databases (including bibliographic lists) to prepare independently a search of literature as a source of knowledge in the field of science of culture and related disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (H1A_U01) : ( KU1_U01)

Student prepares a critical evaluation of the quality of information sources and carry out analysis and evaluation of acquired information (H1A_U01) :

( KU1_U02) .

Student gets involved to work in a group, taking on different roles and improving the competence and efficiency of communication ( being prepared to discuss with the others, to defend or criticize the ideas ( KU1_K03).

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Methods of assessment: seminar method, together with method of oral report based on the text written by a student. Learning outcomes in the area of knowledge are achieved by methods such as seminar method, and are verified:

1/If student has an ordered and basic knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies (H1A_W01) : (KU1_W01).

Mode of assessment:

Fail: Student is not able to present an ordered and basic knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies. Rating sufficient: Student is able to present a partly knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies.

Rating good: Student is able to describe a good knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies.

Rating very good: Student is able to describe very good knowledge of the place and importance of the humanities in the system of sciences about the specifics of the subject of cultural studies.

2/If student is able to describe a knowledge of research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences (H1A_W01) : (KU1_W02). Mode of assessment: Fail: Student is not able to describe any knowledge of research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences. Mode of assessment:

Rating sufficient: Student is able to describe partly knowledge of research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences.

Rating Good: Student is able to describe a considerable part of knowledge of research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences. Rating very good: Student is able to describe very good a full knowledge presented during classes on research methodology relevant to teaching in the humanities and chosen social sciences.

3/Student has got an ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions (H1A_W10): (KU1_W15). Mode of assessment:

Fail: Student is not able to present any ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions described during classes

Rating sufficient: Student is able to present partly ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions described during classes.

Rating Good: Student is able to present a considerable ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions described during classes. Raiting very good: Student is able to present very good a full ordered knowledge of the terms and conditions of the organizational and economic functioning of cultural institutions described during classes.

Learning outcomes in the area of skills are achieved by such methods as method of oral report based on the text written by a student are verified :

Learning outcomes in the area of social competence are achieved by method of seminar and verified: If student gets involved to work in a group, taking on different roles and improving the competence and efficiency of communication ( being prepared to discuss with the others, to defend or criticize the ideas ( KU1_K03). Mode of assessment: Fail: student doesn’t involve to work in a group, taking on different roles (to defend or criticise the ideas) and doesn’t improve the competence and efficiency of communication. Rating sufficient: student partly involves to work in a group, taking on different roles and improving the competence and efficiency of communication. Rating good: student gets involved to work in a group, taking on different roles and improving the competence and efficiency of communication.
