  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

The aim of the lecture is to acquaint students with the basic information on the methodology of grounded theory. Various methodologies by, among others, Glaser and Strauss, Kathy Charmaz and Adele Clarke will be presented.

Pełny opis:

Lecture, apart from the history of GTM focus on the most important methods and techniques - open, focused and theoretical coding, continuous comparison method and memo writing techniques. To pass the subject, students will have to prepare a project according to the methodology of grounded theory based on the knowledge obtained during the lectures

We concentrate on a following subjects:

1. History and development of grounded theory methodology

2. Classical GTM

3. GTM by Anslem Strauss and Juliet Corbin

4. Constructing grounded theory- Kathy Charmaz

5. Grounded theorising and situational analysis Adele Clarke

6. GTM methods and techniques

7. Data collection and generation

8. GTM analysis- coding, memo writing

9. 3 stages of coding

10. Writing and presenting GTM

11. Visual grounded theory and visual data in GTM

12. GTM project planning

13. GTM- examples of projects. Students' presentation

14. GTM- examples of projects. Students' presentation

15. GTM- examples of projects. Students' presentation

Student learns about the types of data and the possibilities of collecting/generating them

Student learns the full terminology of the method

EU- The student learns how to plan a research project taking into account methodological and ethical aspects

The student learns to conduct a research project.

UK- ability to communicate and negotiate in working teams during foreign scholarschip, conferences (social sciences, research) and in professional situations

40 h attendance in lectures

40 h individual work on the materials

70 h presentation

= 150 h= 6 ECTS

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Very good grade (5) -student knows all MTU methods and techniques, can explain the differences in its variants with reference to important figures and names, knows the full terminology, can plan a research project with the appropriate selection of materials, methods, data collection techniques and their analysis

Good grade (4) - knows most MTU methods and techniques, can explain the differences in its variants, knows terminology, can plan a research project

Satisfactory grade (3) - knows the basic methods and techniques of MTU, can explain the differences in its variants, knows the basic terminology, can plan a research project
