The student knows the history of philosophy at a very basic level, knows the basic issues of psychology, ethics and theory of knowledge.

The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the philosophical issue of pleasure both in the historical and systematic course. The lecture will include an overview of historical positions on the nature of pleasure, its functions in the psychological and moral life of a person, as well as an overview of the positions discussed today, especially within the Anglo-Saxon analytical philosophy and cognitive science.

The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the philosophical issue of pleasure both in the historical and systematic course. The lecture will include an overview of historical positions on the nature of pleasure, its functions in the psychological and moral life of a human being. The histotic part of the lecture will concern, first of all, the ancient period, Plato in particular, as well as Aristotle and Epicurus. Additionally, the lecture will present an overview of the positions discussed today, especially within Anglo-Saxon analytical philosophy and cognitive science. Among the systematic issues, the following problems will be discussed: intentionality, motivation, pleasure as emotions, pleasure as beliefs and others. In addition, the lecture will also present the issue of pleasure in the social and cultural context.

Student zna i rozumie zależności między filozofią i naukami na poziomie umożliwiającym interdyscyplinarną i multidyscyplinarną pracę ze specjalistami z innych dziedzin nauki. Student zna i rozumie w stopniu rozszerzonym główne kierunki podstawowych subdyscyplin filozoficznych oraz zależności zachodzące między tymi kierunkami. Potrafi wykrywać złożone zależności między kształtowaniem się idei filozoficznych a procesami społecznymi i kulturalnymi oraz określać relacje między tymi zależnościami. Potrafi precyzyjnie formułować w mowie i na piśmie złożone problemy filozoficzne, stawiać tezy i krytycznie je komentować. Student potrafi przygotowywać opracowania monograficzne na podstawie samodzielnie dobranej literatury, stosując oryginalne podejścia i uwzględniając nowe osiągnięcia w zakresie filozofii. Student jest gotów do uwzględniania donioslego znaczenia refleksji humanistycznej dla formowania się więzi społecznych.
