Skrócony opis:

The course presents selected important issues that are part of CSR, mainly CSR reporting, CSR concepts, and standards (ISO 20121, ISO 26000, AA 100). Students will also learn about the connection of CSR with environmental protection (AGENDA 2030, Dow Jones Sustainability Index), cause-related marketing, and the role of stakeholders in shaping CSR policy in an organization.

1. Introduction to the course and CSR- presentation of the topic and requirements, rules of passing the subject. Introduction to the history and theoretical background of CSR: concepts, definitions, models. The history and theoretical background of CSR: concepts, definitions, models. part 2. CSR in developing and developed countries: the Tata’s case study.

2. CSR reporting (GRI, social reporting). Standards for CSR (ISO 20121, ISO 26000, AA 100).

3. CSR and sustainability, the theoretical framework (AGENDA 2030, Dow Jones Sustainability Index). Climate Change.

4. The impact of CSR on shaping the image of the organization and its reputation.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Knowledge:

- student has general knowledge of CSR, he/she knows scientific theories relevant to this discipline, their development, and practical application.

- student has in-depth knowledge of implementing CSR policy in the organization, standards (ISO 20121, ISO 26000, AA 100), reporting, monitoring, connection to MDG 2030.

Skills:

- student is able to correctly formulate and solve complex and unusual problems relevant to the CSR strategy in the organization.

- student is able to use the theory of CSR to identify, diagnose and solve problems related to social responsibility

Competences:

- student is ready to work as a team member and make a significant contribution to implementing CSR strategy in the organization.

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

activity during classes = 20 % of the final grade; research project on analysis of CSR in selected company during a time span of 5 years = 80 % of the final grade.
