The objectives of the lecture: The purpose of the lecture is to familiarize students with the basic lawyers of environmental protection, management of environmental protection, as well as the conceptual grid used.

Assumptions:

Environmental protection is one of the principal task of the state conditioning its proper economic and social development (sustainable development). In the legal dimension, they consist of international, EU and national law regulations.

The following general issues will be discussed during the lecture:

- place of environmental law in the legal system

- sources of environmental law

- principles of environmental law

- the principle of sustainable development

and other issues that allow you to move freely in the legal issues of environmental protection:

- social participation in environmental protection

- access to information about the environment

- legal protection of environmental components

- legal instruments for environmental protection

- responsibility and judicial protection in environmental protection

- management by the administration of environmental matters

2. Has basic knowledge enabling the characterization of branches of environmental law, recognizes and defines the principles of environmental law

3. Identifies instruments of environmental law and institutional environment

B. Skills

4. Interprets legal acts and draws correct conclusions based on them (Analyzes legal acts and uses sets of legal acts and searches for necessary acts, constructs simple legal norms on the basis of legal regulations)

5. Is able to assign legal instruments to a specific event, indicating the legal solution to the problem

6. Is aware of the importance of legal norms for the implementation of environmental protection

7. Can work individually showing initiative and independence in activities and effectively cooperate in teamwork, playing different roles in it
