An overview about moral topics concerning the issue of resocialization in education.

W_01 Students know definitions, theories, classifications and typology of values

W_02 Students have knowledge about the rules of conduct and ethical standards as a social rehabilitation pedagogue

W_03 Students know the importance of values ​​in working with socially maladjusted people

U_01 Students have the ability to work with people with a disturbed value system

U_02 Students have the skills to conduct preventive and rehabilitation classes that take into account the value system

K_01 Stedents understand how important it is to shape the value system of socially maladjusted people

K_02 Students are aware of the level of his knowledge of the value system and understands the need to improve his own value system

Substantiation of ECTS:

attendance: 30 godz.

preparation for classes: 20

reading the indicated literature: 10

METHOD OF TEACHING

The course is based on interactive lessons with role playing in case study analysis, essays writing and presentation, and group discussions.

A list of references will be indicated during the course.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

a. Students are expected to regularly attend sessions and to actively take part in debate;

b. Before each class, students are expected to have read the compulsory readings (and are strongly advised to read the recommended readings);

c. Students are required to orally present one of the topics outlined in the syllabus according to the instructor’s instructions;

d. Students will have to take a final written exam.

GRADING

Class participation 40 %

Individual/Group assignments 30 %

Exams 30 %

The final test will consist of 10 multiple choice questions.
