Skrócony opis: |
Level: Basic – introductory. Aims: The aim of the lecture is to present the story of Nicodemus' attitude presented in the Gospel according to Saint John. Three scenes in which he appears (John: 3,1-21; 7,50-52 and 19,38-42) illustrate the three-stage process of his conversion gradually passing from the darkness of fear and disbelief to a bold testimony of his faith in Christ. In this way, Nicodemus becomes a model to follow not only for the first readers of the Fourth Gospel, who were afraid of the Synagogue that persecuted them, but also for the contemporary man, struggling with his own sin, weakness and possible hostile attitude towards his faith on the part of the surrounding world. Preliminary requirements: the basic knowledge of the content of the Fourth Gospel. |
