The main goal of course is to knowledgeof the methods in research in human biology eg. somatometry and somatoskopy, craniometry, cranioskopy, osteometry, head and body indexes, classification of human biotypes, determination of developmental age on basis of skeletal age, teeth age, secondary sex characteristics age, sex and age determination on the basis of skeleton. |

Learning outcomes concerning knowledge: After completing the module, the student will: 1. BI2_W01: be able understand complex biological phenomena and processes concerning Research methods in anthropology 2. BI2_W05: has knowledge of current biological problems concerning Research methods in anthropology Learning outcomes concerning skills: After completing the module, the student will be able to: 3. BI2_U02: use biological scientific literature concerning Research methods in anthropology in Polish proficiently, read with understanding scientific articles in English 4. BI2_U03: use critical analysis and select information, especially from electronic sources 5. BI2_U05: use digital technology for phenomena description and data analysis 6. BI2_U06: collect and interpret empirical data in order to formulate appropriate conclusions Learning outcomes concerning social competencies: After completing the module, the student will be able to: 7. BI2_K01: understand the need of lifelong study, inspire and organize learning process of other people 8. BI2_K05: understand the need to enhance knowledge by systematic reading of biological scientific and popular science magazines from the field of Research methods in anthropology ECTS - lectures and laboratories [1 ECTS=30 hours] participation in lectures: 15h participation in laboratories: 30 h preparation for final test: 15 h preparation for practical tests: 30 hours total: 90 hours [90/30=3] |
