  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

The lecture covers issues such as social manipulation (techniques of manipulation); phenomenon of self-presentation; values and attitudes; shaping attitudes through information messages; functioning of social groups; basic phenomena occurring in groups; helpful and aggressive behavior; social conflicts; violence in the family.

2. Social manipulation. Machiavellian personality, manipulation techniques

4. Attitudes: emotional, cognitive and behavioural sources of attitudes

6.Social groups: golas, norms, intragroup interactions, structure of groups

7.Basic phenomena in social groups

8.Social impact: levels of impact, types of conformism

9.Helpful behaviour: theories and research about determinants of prosocial behaviour

10.Situational and personality determinants of helpful behaviour

11.Aggression: types. Overview of basic theories explaining the phenomenon of aggression

12.Aggression: ways of controlling aggression, phenomenon of catharsis, punishment of aggression

5 - knows the basic theories and leading research that verifies these studies
