Short description:

The aim of the course is to introduce students into the topics of clinical psychology.

Full description:

The aim of the course is to introduce students into the topics of clinical psychology. The students will become acquainted with the definitions of clinical psychology and mental health. Then they will be presented with the origin history of this branch of psychology. The students will become acquainted with the principles of diagnosing mental disorders, after which the mental disorders of adolescence and mental disorders in adulthood will be presented. The final part of the course will be devoted to psychological aid and the schools and principles of psychotherapy.

NP2_W07- student ma pogłębioną wiedzę na temat okresów rozwojowych, a także ma świadomość działań jakie należy podejmować, aby wspierać rozwój człowieka na poszczególnych etapach życia

NP2_U06 - student umie scharakteryzować najważniejsze zadania rozwojowe charakterystyczne dla okresu adolescencji i dorosłości, a także umie wskazać na konkretne działania ważne z punktu widzenia poprawy jakości życia człowieka na różnym etapie życia

- grade 5 (very good): The student has extensive knowledge of the subject and origin history of clinical psychology and what mental health is, of the foundations of psychological diagnosis and the diagnostic criteria of individual mental disorders.

- grade 5 (good): The student has fairly extensive knowledge of the subject and origin history of clinical psychology and what mental health is, of the foundations of psychological diagnosis and the diagnostic criteria of individual mental disorders.

- grade 5 (sufficient): The student has basic but sufficient knowledge of the subject and origin history of clinical psychology and what mental health is, of the foundations of psychological diagnosis and the diagnostic criteria of individual mental disorders.

- grade 2 (insufficient): The student has insufficient knowledge of the subject and origin history of clinical psychology and what mental health is, of the foundations of psychological diagnosis and the diagnostic criteria of individual mental disorders.

Skills

- grade 5 (very good): The student is highly capable of recognizing persons with various mental disorders and identifying their needs with regard to psychological aid and psychotherapy.
