Short description:

The subject is intended to familiarize students with the issues of distance learning in the legal, social and technological context.

During classes, students will acquire the ability to use basic tools for distance learning.

Full description:

Distance learning means a method of education in which the teacher is located at a spatial or temporal distance from the trainee. The teaching process is initiated and directed by the teacher indirectly and continuously using various media that help overcome the distance. Distance learning is primarily aimed at overcoming educational barriers such as place of residence or rigid teaching hours.

During the workshops, students will learn the legal aspects of distance education and discuss the opportunities and threats of distance education in the legal, social and technological context. They will learn the basic tools of distance education and learn how to use them in practice.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Assessment methods:

Students will be assessed during workshops on a continuous basis by observing behavior, oral responses, participation in discussions, involvement in group work and a prepared training project on the indicated e-learning platform.

For each class, the student will receive points for activity.

The sum of points for activity and points for the prepared project will constitute the final grade for the workshop.

In total you will get:

- 30 points for activity

- 30 for preparing a training project and presenting it during classes

The reference point is 60 points - 100%

Grading scale

91 – 100% very good (5.0)

- 81 – 90% plus good (4.5)

- 71 – 80% good (4.0)

- 61 – 70% plus sufficient

- 55 – 60% satisfactory (3.0),

- below 50% insufficient (2.0).

Very good grade

EK2: knows the relationship between distance learning and e-services; can explain the nature of e-learning based on three definitions of e-services

EK3: can use basic distance learning tools and applications as a learner and teacher; independently and fluently uses tools to present given content

EK4: can identify opportunities and threats resulting from distance learning and their impact on the legal system, society, economy and technological development; he refers to legal acts, case law, literature and reports

EK5: can prepare training on a selected topic using distance learning tools and applications; is able to present the training content using at least four distance learning tools

For a good grade
