Short description:

Objectives:

The aim is to provide the student knowledge about the size and nature of the threats to human life (with particular emphasis on its end). Raising the level of competence of students (in order to shape the desired personality traits, moral, and social), so that they can take the adequate defense of the life of the human person and his dignity, that is. Understood on the basis of Christian anthropology. The value here is the ability to read issues of bioethics in the context of the requirements of the vocation to the Catholic sacrament of marriage and the family (the science of the family).

Prerequisites: knowledge of anthropological concepts.

Full description:

Selected issues of bioethics is an object, which is a reflection on contemporary ethical interference in human life. Discusses them from the phenomenal and normative, ie., In the field of Christian ethics personalistic (context: the study of the family, the vocation to life in marriage and family).

Program content:

1. The concept of bioethics as a science.

2. abortion as murder of unborn person.

3. Cloning of human beings; a threat to society.

4. Artificial insemination women; techniques and ethical evaluation.

5. Transplantation; criteria for the death of a man.

6. The right to conscientious objection in a democracy.

7. Indirect reconciliation in human life: drug addiction, alcoholism, cigarette smoking, afterburners.

8. Responsibility for public health: food security; GMOs, vaccines, epidemics, etc.

9. Evil ethical homicide and suicide.

10. The concept of just war and the issue of the death penalty; peacekeeping missions.

11. Contemporary forms of eugenics.

12. Bioethics environmental protection; current problems.

13. The concept of death and near-death experiences; Clinical death and its ethical implications.

14. Stages of dying; the ideal of a good doctor.

15. Euthanasia; false face of mercy.

16. Reconsideration of topics test.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

It explains the terminology used in the teachings of the family and its application within the related disciplines at the advanced level.

skills:

He has in-depth knowledge to observe and assess social phenomena, searching and processing information.

Social competence:

Is aware of the level of their knowledge and skills. Preserves critical in expressing opinions. Follow the ethical doctrine have met. Sensitive to the need to collect information on social phenomena using a variety of sources and interpret them in terms of marital and family problems.

Participation in the lecture - 18 hours; 1 point per semester = 2.

reading and individual preparation for the exam - 30 hours; 1 point per semester = 2.

Total - 4 ECTS.

Evaluation methods:

1. Continuous evaluation.

2. Final test interpretation.

3. Feedback.

4. Discussion Teaching.

5. The reading of essays published by the students in e-learning.

The percentage composition of the final evaluation:

Pass a test: 40%.

Written essays: 30%

Activity in the classroom: 30%.

Graduation assessment:

The assessment 2 - the student did not attend classes, did not pass the final test, did not write any essay.

The assessment of 3 - student walking to class, included final test, he wrote correctly in terms of content and formal essay, and presented it to the e-laerningu.

The assessment of 4 - student showed activity in lectures, showed at the test oral knowledge required of a good, well-written, substantive and formal essays, and presented them to evaluate e-learning.

The assessment 5 - the student was very active in class, showed a very good level of knowledge of the oral test, written essays and presented them to evaluate e-learning, he showed them the moral sensitivity at the required issues.
