Short description: |
The aim of the seminar is to broaden knowledge and improve research techniques in soil microbiology, water and air. Particular emphasis will be placed on the microbiology of the soil environment - the study of the biodiversity and activity of microorganisms in soils, both natural and anthropogenic. The seminar also aims to develop a student's ability to work independently, both laboratory and scientific, and to present the results of his undergraduate work. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Knowledge: The Student knows the methodology of research work in the field of environmental microbiology; defines and differentiates the concepts of environmental microbiology; characterizes the main groups of soil, water and air microorganisms and the role they play in these environments; knows the latest literature and achievements presented in the literature of the subject; identifies, classifies, and interprets environmental hazards from anthropogenic and their effects on microorganisms. Skills: The Student uses basic methods, techniques and research tools in the field of environmental microbiology necessary to perform the experimental and research part of the bachelor's thesis; uses the computer to the extent necessary to search for information; correctly selects the literature of the subject in Polish and English; puts up research hypotheses, correctly describes, interprets the results and draws conclusions from the analysis; He can write the work according to the requirements of the scientific work. Competence: The Student demonstrates caution and criticism when analyzing scientific papers, information from the Internet; understands the need to improve his language skills, is open to further learning; openly expresses their views and opinions; can talk about a topic; the student is aware of the threats to the environment resulting from broadly understood anthropopression. ECTS [1 ECTS = 30 (25) hours]: Participation in the seminar - 30 preparing the draft and carrying out laboratory or field research - 30 Independent analysis of source materials - 20 consultations - 10 preparation of bachelor's thesis - 30 Sum of hours 120 [120: 30 (25) = 4] number of ECTS - 4 |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Description of ways to verify learning outcomes: Outline - a paper-based work plan. Multimedia presentation - the student prepares two multimedia presentations - one (in the winter semester) presenting the state of knowledge on a chosen topic, the research hypothesis, the purpose (s) of study and the research methodology he will use to carry out the chosen topic of work and the second presentation (in the summer semester) showing the results and conclusions received. Bachelor's degree - written text, written according to the seminar methodology discussed. The work will be assessed in terms of substantive and methodological correctness, ability to concise and logical presentation of content, correct interpretation of results and conclusions, ability to graphically display the results in charts and tables, correct use and citation of literature. |

(in Polish) Celem seminarium jest poszerzenie wiedzy i doskonalenie technik badawczych z zakresu mikrobiologii gleby, wody i powietrza. |
