Brief description

(in Polish) Celem wykładu jest zapoznanie studentów z wzajemna zależnością mie∂zy demokracją liberalną i demokracją totalitarną. Zgodnie z tezą wysuniętą przez Jacoba L. Talmona, od momentu pojawienia się nowożytnej demokracji rozwijała się ona w dwóch nurtach: wolnościowym i totalitarnym. W tym sensie przekształcenie się Republiki Weimarskiej w Trzecią Rzeszę nie było czymś, czego nie dałoby się przewidzieć. Powstaje jednak pytanie, czy związek ten jest przypadkowy, czy też należy do natury demokracji? Ponadto, czy oczekiwania, że w Europie nie dojdzie powtórnie do przekształcenia się demokracji liberalnej w totalitarną są dobrze uzasadnione?
