(in Polish) Przybliżenie studentom podstawowych definicji, pojęć i zagadnień z zakresu filozofii. Celem zajeć jest zapoznanie studenta ze specyfiką myślenia filozoficznego, metodami i filozoficznym językiem. Każdy student na określone zajęcia przygotowuje referat pisemny na wyznaczony wcześniej temat z podanych lektur, przedstawia go w formie ustnej na zajęciach, tłumaczy najważniejsze zagadnienia, ewentualnie odpowiada na postawione przez wykładowcę lub uczestników pytania. Student winien na zajęciach wytłumaczyć ewentualne niejasności, wykazując się zrozumieniem przygotowanych treści. |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Knowledge: the student knows the basic terminology of philosophy; the student knows the main philosophical problems discussed during classes, he also knows the discussed philosophical argumentation on the basis of independent reading of philosophical texts and selected studies as well as class discussions. Skills: the student independently reads a medium-difficult philosophical text. Competences: the student effectively organizes his own work and critically assesses its advancement. ECTS credits - 4 1 - participation in classes - 30 1 - preparation for classes - 30 1 - independent reading of the text and preparation of notes - 40 Total hours 100 (100: 25 = 4) |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Knowledge: Grade 2: the student does not know the basic philosophical terminology sufficiently to understand the text; the student does not know the basic theses proclaimed by the authors read, including the arguments for them. Grade 3: the student has little knowledge of basic philosophical terminology, has limited understanding of the analyzed text; the student hardly knows the basic theses proposed by the discussed authors and their arguments. He is not capable of reading a philosophical text on his own Grade 4: the student satisfactorily knows the basic philosophical terminology, understands the analyzed text to a great extent; the student knows the basic theses of the discussed authors and the arguments they use. The student is able to read a philosophical text on his own. Grade 5: the student knows the basic philosophical terminology perfectly, understands the analyzed text perfectly; the student knows exactly the basic theses presented by the discussed authors, including the knowledge and understanding of their arguments. He is able to read a philosophical text on his own Skills: Grade 2: the student is not able to read philosophy texts by himself Grade 3: the student is not able to read philosophy texts on his own Grade 4: The student is able to self-satisfactorily provide texts from philosophy Grade 5: the student is able to independently and creatively read philosophy texts Competences: Grade 2: the student is not able to effectively organize his own work on the text and critically assess the degree of its advancement Grade 3: the student has a limited ability to organize his own work on reading and analyzing the text Grade 4: the student is able to satisfactorily organize his own work on the ability to organize his own work on reading and analyzing the text and is able to critically assess the degree of their advancement Grade 5: the student effectively organizes his own work on reading and analyzing the text and is able to critically assess the degree of their advancement The final grade consists of: 1. Class attendance 2. Active participation in classes 3. Current preparation of notes from the given text fragments 4. Preparation of a paper on a given topic 5. Submission of a final thesis at the end of the semester on a previously selected topic. |

The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the specificity of philosophical thinking, methods and philosophical language. For given classes, each student prepares a written report on a predetermined topic from the given reading, presents it orally in class, explains the most important issues, or answers questions posed by the lecturer or participants. During the classes, the student should explain any ambiguities, demonstrating understanding of the prepared content. |
