The aim of classes is to present up-to-date knowledge about analysis of human behaviors in the cultural, political and economic contexts. The coverage of topics will be related to cross-cultural psychology and political psychology. I focus on presenting issues related to dimensions of culture, cultural values and inter-group relations. During classes I plan to present the most popular theories related to cross-cultural psychology including the newest findings in the field, like belief in life in zero-sum game, agency-communion collective narcissism model or dealing with COVID-19 pandemic. As cross-cultural and political psychology researcher I will discuss also the findings from four international projects conducted by our team on entitlement, narcissism, and religiosity. |

The aim of classes is to present up-to-date knowledge about analysis of human behaviors in the cultural, political and economic contexts. The coverage of topics will be related to cross-cultural psychology and political psychology. I focus on presenting issues related to dimensions of culture, cultural values and inter-group relations. During classes I plan to present the most popular theories related to cross-cultural psychology including the newest findings in the field, like belief in life in zero-sum game or collective NARC model. As cross-cultural and political psychology researcher I will discuss also the findings from four international projects conducted by our team on entitlement and values (carried out in 28 countries), entitlement and subjective well-being (carried out in 42 countries) and entitlement, narcissism and self-esteem (carried out in 54 countries), and self-enhancement during COVID-19 pandemic (60 countries). |

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS: |
Student is familiar with basic concepts related to macropsychology. Student is able to analyse and discuss the importance of cultural context in predicting human behaviors. Student is able to differentiate between individual-level and country-level factors responsible for human functioning. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Exam in the test form: students will get points for answering test questions. Maximum number of points that could be obtained equals 20. Grades will be given according to number of points achieved: up to 10: 2.0 11-12: 3.0 13-14: 3.5 15-16: 4.0 17-18: 4.5 19-20: 5.0 |
