The aim of the course is to present the elementary terminology used in pedagogy, to understand its sources and place in the system of sciences and its relevant and methodological connections with other disciplines. The aim is also to provide structured knowledge about education and training, its philosophical and socio-cultural fundamentals, as well as to develop the ability to use basic theoretical knowledge in pedagogy and related disciplines to analyze and interpret educational, educational, caring and cultural issues. as well as motives and patterns of human behavior. |

Subject contents: lectures provide students with basic pedagogical terms, phenomena of change in educations, its development as science, methods of research in pedagogics, structure of pedagogics and notions of man. Main pedagogical classifications in the past and those arising in the modern history are presented. Conciliary pedagogics and a place of pedagogics in postmodernism are their final topics for discourse. Methods of assessment: written exam. |

Knowledge: W_01 student is able to discuss the genesis and philosophical sources of the main concepts of pedagogy as a scientific discipline, taking into account the tradition of general pedagogy and the theory of upbringing; points out the links between pedagogy and other sciences, especially the humanities; W_02 is able to discuss the assumptions of certain currents and pedagogical systems relevant to contemporary pedagogy; W_04 can characterize research approaches in pedagogy; Skills: U_01 is able to perceive and interpret current social phenomena in contexts of education; U_02 has the ability to create own types of reasoning and reasoning with respect to specific solutions and implementation of pedagogical activities; Social competence: K_01 is convinced of the need to broaden its theoretical knowledge in the field of pedagogy and related sciences K_02 is convinced of his / her responsibility for activities within assumed professional roles |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
They comprise the final evaluation: 1. evaluation from the test. Criteria of assessing: 5.0 (very good) Student: - he has a deepened knowledge about the history of pedagogy - he is comparing theories explaining to the relation between doświadczeniem-wiedzą-nauką, and with teaching się-nauczaniem-pracą teaching on the level of education early-school - he is solving teaching problems, - he is initiating the cooperation in the group, - he participated in at least 90% of lectures. 4.0 (the best student: - he has consolidated of history of pedagogy, - he is characteristic of cells and effects of the teaching and the learning, - he is planning own teaching action, - he participated in at least 70% of lectures. 3.0 (satisfactory) Student: - he knows basic concepts and theories clarifying issues connected with pedagogy, - actually he is selecting methods, forms and teaching centres to contents of the education, - he is planning own teaching action, - he participated in at least 50% of lectures. |

Evolution of the identity of pedagogy. Characteristics of pedagogy as a science. Educational development of pedagogy. Terminology / language of pedagogy. Inter / sub-trans-disciplinary pedagogy. Methodology of pedagogical cognition. Map of basic pedagogical concepts. Pedagogy as a frontier science. Methodology of pedagogy and pedagogical research: The contribution of particular disciplines to the development of pedagogical knowledge. The specificity of pedagogy's own research and its stages. The division of research methods of pedagogy by their structure. Ontological basis of education. Education - definitions, meaning, functions, goals, principles, forms, methods. Education in the context of axiological assumptions in human and community life. Education, teaching and learning. Anthropological basis of education. Man as the subject of educational activity. Static and dynamic understanding of a person in pedagogy. Misconceptions of education resulting from unilateral ways of understanding a person. Integral concept of man and upbringing. |
