Short description:

The purpose of the seminar is to cooperate with seminarians in the field of writing the master's thesis: determining the topic, defining the problem and the purpose of the thesis, research material - research and control / comparative group, applying appropriate research methods and techniques, learning how to create the correct structure of work and techniques of using links. Each seminarist reports on the state of preparation and advancement of his research. First of all, it presents the state of current research on the topic of interest to justify the selected topic and embed the own research in existing psychological knowledge. The whole group is activated to discuss and share reflections

Full description:

The seminar deals with developmental and educational psychology. It is of a research nature. As part of the seminar, each student should write an empirical research project on a selected topic, conduct research in a group of children, adolescents, people entering adulthood or adults, make a statistical analysis of the collected data, present the results of the research and discuss them.

The final effect of the seminar is an empirical essay, which is evaluated by the promoter and reviewer.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

The student is capable of designing empirical studies. Can distinguish variables and hypothesize. He knows more about the chosen methods and tools for empirical research. He is able to independently develop his own research tools for the implementation of empirical research. Can use statistical techniques to interpret empirical data. He is able to interpret and analyze the results of his own research, select the relevant content for the content of the available literature. He is competent in preparing his own research report.

Short description:

The purpose of this seminar is to prepare students for research work and for the MA seminar.

Full description:

The seminar deals with developmental and educational psychology and the family - it is researched. Students are asked to read the literature and then select the topic of empirical research. The next stage of work is to develop students' research projects on the chosen topic. The next step is to conduct empirical research on a selected group of children who like young people (sometimes also adults), then calculate and analyze the results of the research and conduct their discussions.

Each participant should prepare a written empirical work that will be assessed. This work is the basis for passing the seminar.
