Full description:

Our purpose is to characterize the modern culture in the perspective of everyday experience. The proposed lectures and open discussions conducted on the basis of dialogue educate the skills of reflective and critical look at the world around students and work out a methodological, justified approach to the experienced situations and contexts of everyday life. In this way, the classes will help students to develop not only social imagination, but also provide an opportunity to elaborate the reflexive participation in the culture and to develop a critical attitude to various contexts of life.

Efekty kształcenia i opis ECTS:

Knowledge – The student knows the contemporary conceptual apparatus in the field of anthropology of everyday life. Understands the importance of the issue of everyday life in the shaping of contemporary cultural studies and the anthropological turn in cultural studies. He knows the most important challenges related to globalization, new technologies and media, and the changing lifestyles.

Skills - The student is able to use the concepts of anthropology for a critical and reflective debate on the phenomena of contemporary culture he / she chooses. He can present the phenomena of culture from the subjective point of view.

Social Competences - The student develops critical approach to his own experience and relations with others. He can use the acquired knowledge to shape his own subjectivity in the surrounding culture.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Grade 5 (very good): KU2_W02 - The student demonstrates a broad theoretical knowledge and terminology in the field of anthropology of everyday life and methods of describing the experience of everyday life. Understands the importance of an anthropological description of experience and emotions in cultural studies. KU2_W03 - Explains, on the basis of source studies, the importance of anthropology of everyday life in the transformations of contemporary cultural studies. KU2_W07 - Understands the subjective aspects of the changing nature of community, consumption, work, communication, health and religion. He can explain their changes in various subjective perspectives. KU2_U05 - The student is able to creatively and originally use the acquired knowledge for a critical and reflective description of the surrounding cultural phenomena. KU2_K01 - He also creatively uses the acquired knowledge to shape his own self-awareness and build everyday relations and reference to the surrounding culture.

Stopień 4 (dobry): KU2_W02 - The student demonstrates theoretical knowledge and terminology in the field of anthropology of everyday life and the methods of describing the experience of everyday life. Understands the importance of an anthropological description of experience and emotions in cultural studies. KU2_W03 - Explains the importance of anthropology of everyday life in the changes of contemporary cultural studies. KU2_W07 - Understands the subjective aspects of the changing nature of community, consumption, work, communication, health and religion. KU2_U05 - The student is able to use the acquired knowledge for a critical and reflective description of the surrounding cultural phenomena. KU2_K01 - He also uses the acquired knowledge to shape his own self-awareness and build everyday relationships and reference to the surrounding culture.

Grade 3 (satisfactory)

KU2_W02 - The student demonstrates selective theoretical knowledge and terminology in the field of anthropology of everyday life and methods of describing the experience of everyday life. KU2_W03 - Explains the importance of anthropology of everyday life in the changes of contemporary cultural studies in some of its aspects KU2_W07 -Understands the subjective aspects of the changing nature of some dimensions of contemporary culture. KU2_U05 - The student is able to use the acquired knowledge to describe the surrounding cultural phenomena. KU2_K01 - Tries to use the acquired knowledge to shape his own reference to the surrounding culture.

Stopień 2 (niedostateczny)

KU2_W02 - The student does not have theoretical knowledge and terminology in the field of anthropology of everyday life and methods of describing the experience of everyday life. KU2_W03 - Cannot explain the importance of anthropology of everyday life in the changes of contemporary cultural studies in some of its aspects KU2_W07 -It does not understand the subjective aspects of the changing nature of some dimensions of contemporary culture. KU2_U05 - The student is not able to use the acquired knowledge to describe the surrounding cultural phenomena. KU2_K01 - He does not try to use the acquired knowledge to shape his own reference to the surrounding culture.
