This course provides an introduction to comparative contract law. It contains a presentation of various systems of contract law around the world, with a special emphasis on English and European contract law. The UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts will also be discussed. Also, the course will provide a comparative analysis of digital contracts.

Brief description

(in Polish) Główną treścią wykładu jest przedstawienie kompetencji, sposobu funkcjonowania i orzecznictwa Trybunału Konstytucyjnego. Autor naświetla genezę sądowej kontroli konstytucyjności prawa w Polsce. Przedmiotem wykładu jest także status prawny sędziego konstytucyjnego, formy kontroli rodzaje wyroków wydawanych przez Trybunał. Ponadto autor przedstawia szczegółowo skargę konstytucyjną, traktując ją jako przykład funkcjonowania konkretnej kontroli konstytucyjności prawa.

The seminar covers selected issues related to international law applicable in the field of humanitarian aid. During the seminar, the basic international legal standards applicable to humanitarian aid are presented and analyzed. Its purpose is also reflection and discussion on the challenges related to humanitarian crises and humanitarian aid from the perspective of international law. The seminar aims at providing "food for thoughts" in this regard.

Brief description

The purpose of the course is to discuss basic problems of Polish constitutional law, including historical matters (Polish constitutional traditions). Topics of the following seminars relate to a general description of the Polish constitutional system, and not on discussing detailed constitutional problems. The second purpose of the course is to get students aquainted with a basic English vocabulary related to constitutional law.

The course is addressed to foreign students studying at the Cardinal Wyszynski University, as well to Polish students who are able to communicate in English at least on an intermediate level.

(in Polish) Obecne trudności (w zakresie wzrostu gospodarczego, wdrażania praw człowieka, zwalczania ubóstwa, przeciwdziałaniu zmianom klimatycznym, itp.), z którymi boryka się wiele państw zarówno rozwiniętych jak i rozwijających się, stały się jednym z wiodących wyzwań dla społeczności międzynarodowej. Skuteczne ramy prawne, jak również efektywne funkcjonowanie instytucji ma zasadnicze znaczenie dla zwalczania nierówności społecznych czy ochrony środowiska. Celem przedmiotu jest ukazanie roli prawa w obszarze rozwoju gospodarczego, społecznego i środowiskowego, czyli w zakresie zrównoważonego rozwoju.
