Interests

Molecular biologist and lecturer. Graduate of the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg (France). My doctoral dissertation concerned gene expression analysis in GMO plants. In 2000-2017, I organized and managed the DNA Analysis Laboratory and the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Forest Research Institute. My international cooperation experience includes internships in France, Austria, Spain, Germany, Sweden, and Italy. Since 2008, I have been a board member in 9 EU international COST Actions. My main scientific interests are molecular biology of plants, population genetics, genetic engineering, molecular diagnostics of plant pathogens, forensic botanic. I am the author or co-author of 105 original scientific publications and 52 popular science publications, 5 monographs, 4 films promoting scientific activity in the country and abroad, and a translator of biological terms from French in the Larousse Universal Encyclopedia.
